Seamus's daughter! I dip in and out of this site every so often - still wonderful - well done to all concerned! When you have time you might add my Dad Seamus RIP on 7th June 2010 and also Eilish who died this year, May they both rest in peace. God bless them.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Sister Margaret McCallion last Monday. I still remeber fondly my trip to Ireland and your hospitality back in 1995. Sister Margaret made me promise to visit with her relatives in Portglenone. It was worth the time, greatly. Again sorry for your loss.

Just thought i would throw a few details i have of my side of the kearney's.
(Dad) James born Coatbridge Glasgow.Grandad Richard born October 1895 county Offlay.
I was born and grew up in Glasgow then moved to England to work where i met my wife who is Irish,ended up moving to Ireland where i have found family i never new i had.Good luck to everyone finding their kin.

the family tree needs updated

It is with great sadness to let you all know that we have lost my dear mother Brenda, wife of Bobby on 5th July 2011. Grateful apprecaition to all of Bobby's family who travelled from Kilrea, Rosnashane, Swatragh,Portrush,West Meath and Leixlip - their presence was a great comfort to us. All of you who knew Brenda know that we have lost a very special lady and we will miss her terribly, but take comfort that she is at peace. St Jude pray for her.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your site and thank you for sharing so much Kearney information.  I am a descendant of Francis Kearney and Bridget Bradley from Derry, N. Ireland.  Francis was from Brackaghlislea and I believe Bridget was from the Maghera region.  They emigrated to the US, Maryland to be exact, in 1847.  It appears there was a very close tie between my Kearney line and the Bradleys both before and after they came to America.  Would very much like to hear from any others with possible connections to my line.  [email protected]

Hello from one part of the Liverpool Kearneys (and there are a few)

We are originally from Belfast via Blackrock (Dundalk) and my grandfather was Vol Hugh Kearney, 2nd Belfast Division and later Gard Hugh Kearney in Blackrock.

My father is Michael Kearney and had 6 siblings - John (dec), Harry (dec), Hughie (dec), Jim, Ann and Agnes (dec)

I am now the father of two more decendants, Finn and Jamie, who will no doubt be as proud a Kearney as I am one day.

Son of Matthew Kearney & Lady Anne Esmonde from Galway Co. Charles Esmonde Kearney come to America in 1836 made is home in Westport, Missouri (part of Kansas City) in 1852. Many generations of Kearneys have grown up here in Kansas City.

We will be undertaking a re-vamp of this site soon.  Over 1,000 hits on this site since January.  Amazing.  Can we get an update of families as soon as possible?  Let's all keep in touch.
